Peptide Therapy & Wellness FAQ

Everything you need to know about Nuvari, our protocols, and how physician-directed wellness works.

About Nuvari

What is Nuvari?
Nuvari is a physician-directed wellness platform that connects you with board-certified physicians and licensed US pharmacies. We offer personalized protocols for weight management, hormone optimization, TRT, sexual health, peptide therapy, longevity medicine, metabolic support, hair loss, skin health, sleep, and moderation support — all physician-directed and delivered to your door.
How is Nuvari different from other telehealth platforms?
Most telehealth platforms give you a prescription and disappear. Nuvari provides ongoing physician oversight, monthly check-ins, dosage adjustments, and 24/7 provider messaging. Every protocol is physician-directed — not AI-generated — and every medication is compounded by US pharmacies registered with the FDA and inspected by state boards of pharmacy.
Who are the physicians?
Our physicians are board-certified and licensed in your state. They have experience in peptide therapy, hormone optimization, weight management, and metabolic health. A real physician reviews every assessment — no algorithms writing prescriptions.
Is Nuvari available in my state?
Nuvari ships to all 50 US states and the District of Columbia. Our physician network includes providers licensed in every state so you receive care from a physician licensed where you live. Eligibility for a specific protocol is confirmed by your physician during the assessment review and depends on your medical history, the protocol selected, and any applicable state-level restrictions. Is Nuvari a pharmacy?
No. Nuvari is a telehealth platform that connects you with physicians and pharmacy partners. Your medications are compounded and shipped by licensed compounding pharmacies that we partner with.

Medications

What are compounded medications?
Compounded medications are custom-prepared by licensed US pharmacies for your specific prescription. Compounding combines or alters pharmaceutical ingredients to create a medication tailored to an individual patient — for example, adjusting the dose, removing a non-essential ingredient, or changing the form. Our partner pharmacies are registered with the FDA and inspected by state boards of pharmacy.
Are compounded medications safe?
Compounding pharmacies follow strict quality protocols, including USP <795> and <797> standards for non-sterile and sterile compounding. Our partner pharmacies are state-licensed and FDA-registered, and each batch is quality-tested before shipping. As with any medication, side effects are possible — discuss potential risks with your provider before starting any protocol.
Are compounded medications legal?
Yes. Compounding is a well-established, legal practice regulated by the FDA and state boards of pharmacy. Licensed compounding pharmacies operate under federal pharmacy compounding regulations, which permits the preparation of compounded medications pursuant to valid prescriptions.
What active ingredients are in Nuvari protocols?
Each protocol uses specific active pharmaceutical ingredients. For example, The Shed Protocol uses a branded GLP-1 medication, The Drive Protocol uses compounded testosterone, The Apex Protocol uses enclomiphene citrate, The Desire Protocol uses sildenafil and tadalafil, and The Rewind Protocol uses sermorelin peptide. Your physician selects the appropriate compound and dosage based on your health assessment.
Are these the same as brand-name medications?
No. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved drugs and are not the same as brand-name medications. They are individually prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy for a specific patient based on a physician's prescription. Compounded medications can be useful when an FDA-approved option is unavailable or not appropriate (for example, when a customized dose or formulation is needed), but they have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or quality in the same way brand-name drugs have.

Process

How do I get started?
Start by taking our quick online assessment. You'll answer questions about your wellness goals, medical history, and current medications. A board-certified physician reviews your assessment within 24 hours and, if appropriate, prescribes a personalized protocol. Your medication ships to your door within 24-48 hours of approval. See how the full process works.
How long does the process take?
The assessment takes about 5 minutes. Physician review happens within 24 hours. After approval, your medication ships within 24–48 hours. Most patients receive their order within 5–7 business days from starting their assessment.
Do I need to see a doctor in person?
No. Everything is done online. You complete an assessment, a physician reviews your health history remotely, and your prescription ships to your door. No clinic visits or waiting rooms required.
How does shipping work?
Medications ship directly from our pharmacy partners via standard shipping. Temperature-sensitive medications ship in cold-chain packaging. All packages arrive in plain, discreet packaging with no indication of the contents. Delivery typically takes 3–5 business days.
What if the physician says I'm not a candidate?
If a physician determines that a protocol is not medically appropriate for you, you will not be charged. Your physician may recommend an alternative approach or suggest you follow up with your primary care provider.
How do monthly check-ins work?
Each month, you complete a brief progress update through the patient portal. Your provider reviews your progress, adjusts your dosage if needed, and your refill ships automatically. You can also message your provider anytime with questions or concerns.
